Paulina Gaitan Ruiz, a Mexican actress, was born on February 19, 1992. She is most well-known in Mexican television and film. She is best recognized for her role as the loyal young wife of Colombian drug lord Pablo Escobar in the hit Netflix series Narcos. She was the female protagonist in Cary Joji Fukunaga's film Sin Nombre, in which she played Sayra, a young woman who joins her father and uncle on their journey from Honduras to the United States and meets El Casper, a gang member played by Edgar Flores. Gaitán was featured in the ABC Steven Spielberg series The River as part of an ensemble cast in 2012. She has played Tata, the wife of narco-terrorist Pablo Escobar, in the Netflix original series Narcos since 2015. Violetta, the female lead in the Amazon Prime Original Series Diablo Guardian, debuted in 2018.
